Greg Walther is a dynamic and experienced attorney and risk management executive with a proven track record of providing oversight and guidance to large institutions to achieve strategic goals and execute against complex initiatives. Greg’s passion is in developing teams to achieve excellence through clear communication, detailed analysis, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

Throughout his career, Greg has served as a trusted advisor supporting the Board and management of large financial institutions to navigate nuanced regulatory, legal, and compliance topics in order to reach desired outcomes.

As the father of a rising fourth grader, second grader, and kindergartener within the New Albany Plain Local School District (NAPLS), Greg is committed to the success of NAPLS and believes public education is a social good.

Greg has lived in New Albany since 2014 and recently served on the NAPLS Citizens Advisory Committee for Student Belonging (2023-2024) at the request of the current NAPLS Board President, and volunteered for the Campus Master Plan Levy Committee (2024) in support of the bony levy passed in November 2024.

Greg Walther earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law, and is a licensed attorney in the state of Texas. In his free time, Greg enjoys reading, playing basketball, and watching 80’s movies.

Greg lives in New Albany with his wife of 11 years and their three children.
